Fuddrukkers – where Burgers Rock & Roll

Fuddruckers, an american restaurant chain that specializes in hamburgers, was founded in 1980 by Philip J. Romano in San Antonio, Texas. As of March 2011, it has 56 company operated and 126 franchised locations in US, 01 in Canada and 04 in Puerto Rico. The theme for fuddruckers restaurants in 1950 & 1960s Rock & Roll.

Fuddrukers is known for its large burger patties (upto one pound), fresh homemade bunds prepared daily at each location and self-service toppings bar. Customers order a base burger, either plain or with specialty toppings like sauces, sauteed onions, multiple cheese toppings or gucamole and are served with an open-faced burger which they carry to the toppings bar and add fresh veggies,  and seasonings.

The signature burgers on menu include The Inferno (if you like it really hot, must try) with spicy Jalapenos, caramalized Onions & Pepper Jack Cheese, Southwest burger with Bacon, Gucamole & Pepper Jack Cheese and Swiss Melt Buger with sauteed mushrooms, Grilled Onions & Swiss Cheese.

Other items on the burger menu include Bacon Cheddar Burger, The Works Burger – Premium cut beef with thick-cut hickory smoked bacon, grilled button mushrooms & american cheese served of sesame-topped scratch baked bun – Three Cheese Burger with Swiss, Cheddar & Monterey jack and Fudds Prime Hamburgers. Fuddruckers also serves a range of “Exotic Burger”s  featuring Buffalo, Elk, Wild Boar and Ostrich meat served on a wheat bun.

The chicken menu includes Crispy/grilled chicken breast and Chicken Tenders  and fish-lovers can go for Fish & chips and Crispy Fish Sandwich. Featured side dishes are  Rib Eye sandwich, Fudd Fries, Sweet Potato fries, Mozzarella sticks, boneless chicken wings and Nachos aided by Grilled Chopped Steak, Dogzilla – beef hot dog.

Fuddrucker also offers a choice of salad from chicken Caesar, Market Toss – skinless grilled chicken breast served on lettuce blend, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, sliced toasted almonds, smoked bacon and Monterey jack & Cheddar cheese – Taco salad and Napa Valley salad. And finally, complete the meal with a hand-blended fresh, rich and creamy milk-shake.
