Carl’s Jr., founded in 1941 by Carl Karcher as Carl’s Drive-in Barbeque, is the fourth largest american fast-food restaurant chain in size (combined with sibling chain Hardee’s) with outlets in Southern, Western and Southwestern US. The name was changed to Carl’s Jr. in 1954 and today it has more than 1000 outlets in 13  US states as well as in Mexico, Singapore, Chile, China, Malaysia, Poland and Russia.

Featured food items include the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger and Six Dollar Burger, so called because it is claimed to be of the same quality of a burger one would pay six dollars for in a sit-down restaurant. In addition, there is a range of big and juicy charbroiled burgers including Turkey burgers, Jalapeno Burgers, Tenyaki Burgers, The Carl Star and many more. Carl’s Jr. also offer a range of breakfast meals, kids’ burgers, chicken and fish items, sides, salads, desserts and beverages.
