The economy since a few months is not as overwhelming as it has to be. There are banks shutting down, homes got foreclose, government runs program in order to make home affordable; and many more effects. One important news is that McDonald’s profit rise despite troublesome economic situation.

It proves that basic needs of a man, food, home and cloths always take precedence over other aspects we deal with. The fast-food is also a reality which cannot be overlooked. In the fast running life, when we need to manage schedules and perform even better, once cannot ignore having fast food. It is not only the requirement though, which make McDonad’s rising in the profit charts. They are updating their menu according to the need of people, making the product healthier and as affordable as possible; which is paying off. As the largest burger chain McDonalds have performed consistently even during the recession time, which involves a lot of skills implemented simultaneously.

In one of the announcement McDonald’s Corp. said Friday that its net income rose 15 percent in the second quarter as it continues to entice customers to buy new menu items even as the sluggish economy forces them to cut back spending in other areas. McDonald’s net income rose 15 percent to $1.4 billion ($1.35 per share) during the quarter. Revenue was up 16 percent to $6.9 billion, topping analysts’ estimates of $6.6 billion. Important thing to note is the company raised prices this year and still it has no negative effects on the sales due to the positives they provide.
