Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. (RRGB) or famous as simply Red Robin is launching a new version of itself! This new version is named as “Red Robin’s Burger Works“. This version will have smaller quick casual Burgerjoints. The new version is launching this month itself as per the various news sources. With the idea to have something different in the new areas where a full-size, full-service restaurant may not work, Red Robin have decided to have this different version of itself as part of the plan of expansion. Fast-casual and better-burger segments are a hit now a days and entering into this segment, Red Robin is competing with Five Guys Burger & Fries and Smashburger.
If you analyze the stuff you will notice that this small fast-casual BurgerJoints will serve a different purpose also. It could be Red Robin’s prototype for the places like Airports, Military Bases, College Campus, Food Courts etc. (which is missing for them). According to their plan The first restaurant in this segment will be in Northfield, a neighborhood in Denver, followed by a couple more in different parts of Denver.
BTW: It is interesting to note that Red Robin is definitely growing in the maket and in the third quarter of the year they have declared the profit of around $2.1 Billion! Which clearly indicates that the revenue and margine rose for them. Shares rose 9.2% to $27.28 when noted last.
In the current situation when the real estate market it having its own take as we all know, getting a 6000 square feet building in a major urban market is not only expensive but also challenging. This small restaurant segment could push their expansion efforts remarkably as per the initial analysis.

709 in Point Pleasant Beach, one of the favorite contests for Great Jersey Shore Burger Contest finally won the contest! Total 11 BurgeJoints were the contest. Longboard Grill and The Ark both situated at Point Pleasant Beach are tied for the “People’s Choice Award”. Other contests include Prime Food Market in Brick; Harpoon Willy’s, Manasquan; Shipwreck Point, Point Pleasant Beach, Bar A; St. Stephen’s Green Publick House, Spring Lake Heights and The Sand Bar, Brielle.
