First Iron Chef Burger Competition Had Only Two Participants | News

The first Iron Chef Burger competition, scheduled last Sunday (at Washington County Ag Expo & Fair Sunday) was not a major success. Only two teams have shown up to participate the contest.

Wendy Price, Amy Simmons and Kendra Barnhart were the first team to be there. Interestingly the team was named as WAK Women, based on the first letters of their first names. The Inside Out Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger was prepared by the WAK Women team. The team finished their dish first, serving it up with a dill pickle spear.

Though having a few competitors didn’t make the things easier either for the competitors or for the judges. The two burgers up for judging were so fat, so stuffed with cheese and so mouthwatering that the judges were having a tough time determining a winner. Both the participant teams were given a new charcoal grill and a bag of charcoal. The organizers expressed the hope that there will be more participant in the competition when held next time.
