People eating more burger than ever : A survey | News

According to MSNBC, Americans are eating more burgers then before. The reason behind that is the number of fast-food chains expanding their reach by opening more and more outlets via franchisee method. Other reasons are the prices. As the competition is there, almost all chains are trying to provide the most economic burger by retaining its nutritional values and health factor.

Technomic, the food industry consulting group, in its “Burger Consumer Trend Report” notes that the growth (in the number of Burger consumers) is mostly based on the “value menu”. According to the company, around half of the consumers are eating at least a burger a week, the figure was 38 percent consumers before a couple of years ago. In the changing economy (especially in the current situation), the economical or cheap burgers will survive easily, that a non-analyst can also say.

One of the good things I got to know from the report is younger eaters prefer vegetarian options. This is a step toward the humanity and of course it affects the environment as well. Also amongst others, half of the consumers prefer steroid-free meat.

So what about you?
