Mark Wahlberg the famous actor (Martin Scorcese’s Oscar-winning The Departed and more recently Oscar-nominated The Fighter are few of his famous hits), is planning to open a Burger joints in partnership with his brother Donnie Wahlberg. The chain is intended to be named as “Wahlburger chain” or “Wahlburgers”.
Though Tom Wahl from Rochester has federal trademark rights to the Wahlburger name (he is famous for belt-loosening sandwich of ground beef patty, grilled ham, lettuce, melted Swiss, Wahl sauce and a seeded bun). His restaurant “Tom Wahl’s” is situated at Rochester, New York. According to various news sources the chain is having 8 restaurants already exist; but Tom is happy to licence out the name so Wahlberg brothers go ahead with their plans of creating a Wahlburger chain in their home town of Hingham, Massachusetts.
